Lawrence E. Neff

Lawrence E. Neff, 89, a former resident of Lock Haven passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the home of his daughter in Martinsville, IN.

Born December 31, 1933 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late Archie and Ada (Simcox) Neff.

He was married to the former Janice L. Waterman who died in 1995.

Lawrence worked for Piper Aircraft for 13 years and retired in 1991 from PennDOT after 20 years as a foreman.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1954 – 1957.

Lawrence was a former member of the Hand in Hand Hose Co, Son’s of Italy, Social member of the Castanea Fire Hall, Elks, Moose, Central District Fireman’s Association and the PA Fireman’s Assn.

Surviving are a daughter, Tammy L. Kirk of Martinsville, IN a son Robert L. Neff of Lock Haven. Three grandchildren and one great grandson.

He is also survived by a half-brother David White of Lock Haven and a half-sister Diane White of Lock Haven.

Lawrence was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Neff.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Sept., 12, 2023 at the Helt Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis A. Smith officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received from 10:00 a.m.– 10:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
