John G. “Beans” Kennedy, 75, of South Renovo, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021.

Born November 22, 1945, in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late William L. and Betty L. (Mutzabaugh) Kennedy. In 1963, he entered the Marine Corps and served overseas in Vietnam as a radio operator.  

Beans worked as a truck driver for Keen Transport and later retired driving for the Service Garage in Renovo. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans’ Motorcycle Club, V.F.W., Owls Club, and the Enola Sportsman Club. Beans could most often be found outdoors, hunting, target shooting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.

Beans is survived by his sister, Suellen (Donald) Livingston of Driftwood; two nieces, Wendy Fisher and Beth Kranzel; and their children.

A Celebration of Life will be planned by his Vietnam Veteran Brothers and announced at a later date. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements.
