JERSEY SHORE - Gertrude Rose (Mikitko) Miller,80, formerly of Lock Haven, died Saturday, June18, 2022, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing Center, Jersey Shore.
Rose was born on April 27,1942 in Lock Haven and was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Gertrude R. (Hill) Mikitko.
She attended the Lock Haven Catholic School and graduated from Lock Haven High School. After school she worked for Bloomsburg Silk Mill, Lock Haven and worked for Traveler's Delite in Lamar.
Rose was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Lock Haven VFW Post #1630.
She was truly devoted to her family and enjoyed every moment she had with them. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, going on road trips, and spending time in Renovo during the Flaming Foliage Festival.
Rose is survived by two sons, Kenneth M. Miller of Mill Hall and Jonathan W. Miller (Kim Herman) of Lamar, two grandchildren who she adored, Tasha Stiver and Heidi Keene, and three great-grandchildren, Haylee, Brantley, and Isabella. She is also survived by one brother, Charles (Marianne) Mikitko of Mill Hall, and two sisters, Judith Mikitko of Lock Haven and Mary Mikitko of Woolrich, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by two sisters; Christine Mikitko and Annie Guerriero.
A viewing will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June23,2022 at Helt Funeral Chapel,232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. A funeral will be held at 8:00p.m.
Burial will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lock Haven.
