Walter E. Heaton

Walter Eugene “Walt” Heaton, 67, of Jersey Shore passed away on Friday, Oct., 25, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on May 25, 1952 in Lock Haven a son of the late Fred and Jesse (Seyler) Heaton.

Walt was employed at All Around Tire in Jersey Shore for 30 plus years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved to watch NASCAR and was an avid Penn State and Cleveland Browns football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Walt is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Deborah Jean (McCaslin) Heaton his daughters; Tena (Guthrie) Bock of Watsontown, Lori (Steve) Rhine of Red Lion, Jan Heaton of Hanover, Dawn (Travis) Stiffler of Jersey Shore and Crystal Heaton of Lock Haven.

Eleven grandchildren, Josh Stiffler, Kayleen Duffy, Brittany Stiffler, Zachery Rhine, Caleb Stiffler, Tisha Zuback, Jesse Heaton, Devin Smith, Travis Stiffler, Jr., Logan Heaton and Bergan Fritz and three great grandchildren and an expected great grandchild.

He is also survived by his brother Dave (Glenda) Heaton of Mill Hall and a sister-in-law Vivian Heaton of Lock Haven.

Walt was preceded in death by his brother Jim Heaton.

A private funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct., 30, 2019 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Steve Salmon officiating.

A private burial will be held at Hays-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
