Violet M. (Stevenson) Boeding

Violet Marie Boeding, of Canastota NY, passed away on January 26th, 2022, at the age of 81 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with dementia. Formally lived in Chittenango, NY for over 30 years and Renovo, PA for over 10 years.

She was born on January 31, 1940 in Renovo, PA to Orman and Anna (Russell) Stevenson. On July 5th, 1958 Violet married Edward L. Boeding at St. Patrick’s Church in Watertown, NY. Violet was a member of the Elks Club and American Legion in Renovo, PA.

Violet enjoyed to garden, playing cards, watching HGTV, and The Food Channel. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. Violet, also known as “Wig”, was a great friend, devoted wife, loving mother, and a special grandmother/great-grandmother or also known as “Mammy.”

Violet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Boeding; great grandson, Easton Worden; and siblings, Fred, Dorothy, Gerald, Raymond, Elizabeth, Kenneth, Marion, Donald, and Viola. She will be missed dearly by her surviving family which includes her children; Richard Boeding of Canastota, NY, Edward Boeding, Jr. of Canastota, NY, Robert Boeding of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Susan Boeding of East Syracuse, NY; grandchildren; Krystle (Donald) Carr of Sterling, NY, Robert (Weslee) Worden, Jr. of Chittenango, NY, Tiffany Worden of Syracuse, NY, Kimberly Boeding of Canastota, NY; and great grandchildren, James and Madelyn Carr, and Nova Malone; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th St. in Renovo, Pennsylvania, with Martha Sykes officiating. A viewing for friends and family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at North Bend Cemetery in North Bend, Pennsylvania.
