Thomas A. Nunamacher

FLEMINGTON - Thomas A. Nunamacher,70, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on August 15, 1955 in Somerville, NJ.

Thomas was a graduate of Somerville High School, Somerville NJ Class of 1973 where he was a standout athlete lettering in both Football and Wrestling. It was his talent in sports in addition to being a dedicated Naval Sea Cadet that led to him being appointed to the United States Naval Academy. After being honorably discharged from the United States Navy he went on to earn a Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Science from Penn State University. Thomas went on to graduate at the top of his class from the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and found his calling with the Pennsylvania Fish and Game Commission where he served as an officer for over 23 years, retiring in 2018. He loved his job and found all aspects of it to be a very fulfilling career choice.

He enjoyed carpentry and creating stained glass art pieces for his family to enjoy, playing the guitar and researching his family's lineage.

Thomas was predeceased by his father, Harold E. Nunamacher, his mother, Jean L. (Avon) Nunamacher and his sister, Barbara J. Nunamacher.

Thomas is survived by his beloved son, Thomas A. "Tommy" Nunamacher of Lock Haven, his sister, Karen L. Mencaroni of Raritan NJ, two brothers; Harold E. Nunamacher of Southport, NC and Jeffrey A. Nunamacher of Greer, SC, nieces; Erika DelRocco (Nick) and Everleigh Del Rocco of Holland NJ and Nikki Mencaroni of Raritan NJ, nephews; Jeffrey Mencaroni of Raritan, NJ, Landon Delrocco, Donovan Del Rocco and Bryson DelRocco of Holland NJ and Rory Mencaroni of Raritan NJ.

All services for Thomas are being handled privately at the request of the family.
