Shawn Francis Lovett

b. November 29, 1997

Westport

Shawn Francis Lovett, 23, of Westport passed away at his residence.

Born in Danville on November 29, 1997, he was the son of Tawnya L. Redos of Westport and Shawn M. Lovett of S. Renovo. He was the perfect child and was always so well-mannered.

At age five, Shawn began a long history of wrestling. He wrestled for Bucktail, Central Mountain, and Mat-Town USA Wrestling Club where he met his long-term coach that he most admired, Neil Turner. He played football for Bucktail for several years as a tight end, defensive end, and left tackle.

In 2016, Shawn graduated from Bucktail Area High School and was proud of earning his place in the Upward Bound National Honors Society. He went on to work as a dog handler and trainer for an independent dog rescue.

Despite the years given on this Earth, Shawn was always recognized as an old soul with deep wisdom and intellect. He had an inquisitive mind and loved learning new things or having long deep conversations with family and friends. He was fluent in Spanish.

Shawn was gifted with positivity and he was able to spread that mindset to anyone around. He lived his life selflessly, always thinking of and helping others. He wouldn’t hesitate to stand up for those that couldn’t stand up for themselves, the ‘under-dogs’. He saw the good in every situation and the good in everybody.

Writing was Shawn’s passion and his work consisted of creative writing and lyrical pieces. Most recently, he was working on writing his first book. Shawn was also passionate about spending time with his dogs, especially Coco. He enjoyed reading and hiking.

In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his sister, Felisha L. Kelley of Lock Haven; maternal grandfather, John F. Redos, Sr. of S. Renovo; maternal grandmother, Deborah S. (Robert) Clarke of Lancaster; paternal grandmother, Karen M. Stone of S. Renovo; three uncles, John F. Redos, Jr. of Lancaster, James M. (Bridgid) Redos of Cogan Station, and Kyle C. Lundfelt of S. Renovo; two nephews that he loved spending time with, Paxton and Eli Brennan; and several cousins including his very close cousin, Uriah J. Redos of Lancaster.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chuck Lovett; great-grandparents, Francis Lovett and Donna Lovett; and great-uncle, Harry “Mooch” Probst.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to One Dog At A Time, 225 Meadow Woods Dr, Lewistown, PA 17044.
