Robert D. Suhr

Robert D. Suhr, 85, of Lock Haven and a former resident of Coudersport passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 on his birthday at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born April 14, 1938 in Wausau, Nebraska he was a son of the late Carl H. and Lillie (Eck) Suhr.

He was married to Susan C. Welfling in 1991 and she died December 29, 2022.

Robert served in the Navy during the Korean War. His Naval career spanned over 20 years and he was an auto body mechanic in the Coudersport area.

He was a member of the American Legion in Coudersport and enjoyed motor cross racing.

Surviving are three sons; Robbie (Cynthia) Suhr of Pleasant Prairie, Wisc, Danny Suhr of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Nate (Sue) Suhr of Parker, Colo.

Two brothers; Vernon Suhr of Lake Miltona, Minn. And Kenneth (Dee) Suhr of Cottonwood, AZ also two loving nieces Abigail Batterson and Katie (Tim) Hanna along with a great nephew Logan and two great nieces Eleanor and Sadie.

Along with his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by a brother Melvin Suhr.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
