Richard A. Mazzulla

Richard "Dick" Mazzulla, 76, of Renovo, Pa., passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026, surrounded by family at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, Pa.

He was born on Nov. 3, 1949, a son of the late Andrew Mazzulla and George and Ruth (Getz) Snyder.

Dick was a 1967 graduate of Renovo High School. He worked various jobs throughout his life, including as caretaker/owner of Fairview Cemetery.

On May 24, 1986, Dick married Karen Hess, who survives. They celebrated 40 years together.

Dick enjoyed watching old TV shows, listening to music, spending time with family playing card games and spending time with his kitties.

Dick is survived by his wife and children, Mike (Christina), Cynthia (Phil) and Justin; siblings, Hap, Cin, Susan (Mike), Mike (Jennifer), Dave, Bud (Erin), SaraBeth and Druanne (Lew); stepsisters, Cindy, Pam and Ruth; grandchildren, Kacie (Remington), Taylor, Hope (C.J.), Rachel (John) and Michael; great-granddaughters, Sophia, Koraline and Jasmine; his mother-in-law, Helen Hess; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Teresa; step-siblings, Terry, George and Karen; a sister-in-law, Natalie Mazzulla; his father-in-law, James Hess; a daughter-in-law, Jess Mazzulla; and his beloved cat, Max.

Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
