Richard Norman “Weed” Kline, 80, of Lock Haven passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Sandra D. (Hoffman) Kline. The couple shared over 50 years of marriage together.

Born January 14, 1940 in Lock Haven he was the son of the late Edwin and Nora (Myers) Kline.

Norman loved Penn State football and never missed a home game. When he had the chance, he would travel all over the country to see the games with his wife. He worked at the stadium for many years as an usher and even served as a security guard for the entertainers that performed at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Norman belonged to various local fire companies all of his life including Lock Haven Hope Hose Co. #2. He later joined the fire police at the Goodwill Hose Co., Station 7 in Flemington. He was known for his great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell.

In addition to his wife, Sandra, Norman is survived by one son, Richard W. Kline of Lock Haven; one daughter, Francesca M. Kline of North Carolina; and five grandchildren, Garret, Kaden, Jacob, Carson, and Kasey. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William G. Kline.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., in Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the Flemington Goodwill Hose Co., Station 7, 126 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
