Phyllis L. Kouf

Phyllis L. (DeGarmo) Kouf, 84, of North Bend passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born November 20, 1940 in Lock Haven she was a daughter of the late Levi P. and Joyce C. (Jacobs) DeGarmo.

Phyllis was married 23 years to Dan E. Kouf who died in 1982.

She was the owner/operator of the North Bend Hotel for many years and earlier she worked at Bobbi Brooks.

Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She enjoyed reading, socializing with her friends, shopping and loved her pet cat.

Surviving are a stepson; Gene (Angie) Lavelle of North Bend two grandchildren; Katelyn and Nicole along with three great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister Sylvia J. Conklin of Lock Haven and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister Kathleen Miller.

Services and interment will be at North Bend Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
