Nancy J. (Merrill) Gardner

Nancy J. Gardner, 84, a former resident of Avis passed away, Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Manor Care, North in Williamsport.

Born February 14, 1938 in Lock Haven she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Edna (Merrill) Dershem.

Nancy was married on November 24, 1958 to William H. Gardner who died November 6, 1994.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.

Nancy was a former member of the Avis American Legion and the Salvation Army of Lock Haven.

Surviving, are two sons, Bill A. (Dottie) Gardner of Avis and Gary L. Gardner of Monument. Five grandchildren Angie, Matt, William, Steph and Jenna and six great grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother Russell Dershem of Williamsport a sister Phyllis (Henry) Todd of Lock Haven, two cousins Jake Merrill and Jerry Peters.

Along with her parents, husband she was preceded in death by a brother Richard.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Woolrich Cemetery.
