MILL HALL - Mary E. (Bannon) Nettles, 74, of 217 Main Street, Mill Hall, died Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at U.M.P.C. Williamsport.
She was born on April 4, 1950 in West Chester and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Isabelle (Andrus) Bannon.
Mary was a graduate of West Chester High School Class of 1968 and then went on to attend Williamsport Area College for nursing and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She went on to work for Lock Haven Hospital for over 20 years and then the Nursing Agency and Extended Care.
She was a member of Flemington Church of Christ where she was an active member. She loved working with the youth and organizing activities for them. Mary enjoyed crafting, crocheting and playing bingo.
Mary is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; Woodrow and Leah Sole of North Charleston, SC, Eric and Shannon Kelley of Mill Hall and Daniel and Lauren Fultz of Sullivan, IL, one daughter and son-in-law; Celissa and Jason McCauley of Lock Haven, 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one brother; Ernest Bannon of Williamsport and two sisters; Violet Aughenbaugh of Lock Haven and Beverly Henry of Castanea.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son; Harry Kelley in 2021, one daughter; Violet Kanour in 2017, one brother and three sisters.
All services for Mary are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.
