Mary A. (Frankenberger) Bartholomew

Mary A. (Frankenberger) Bartholomew, 85, of Lock Haven passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital.

Born October 9, 1934 in Loganton she was a daughter of the late Walter and Emily (Shaffer) Frankenberger.

Mary was married to Alvin Bartholomew who died in 1989.

She worked as a clerk at the former A&P in Lock Haven for 27 years.

Mary enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cross stitch and playing cards with her grandsons, family and friends.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mill Hall.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon R. (William) Smith of Avis and three grandsons Brian, Brad and Mark also three great grandsons Andrew, Zachary and Trevor.

Mary is survived by a sister Grace Day in Florida and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, David and William.

A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Rev. Karl Runser officiating. The service can be viewed online at Helt Funeral Chapel’s Facebook page or at https://tinyurl.com/Mary-Bartholomew

Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
