CROSS FORK - Martha W. “Marty” Churchill, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Houston, TX on October 25, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Bartholomew J. and Verna R. (Breaker) Antle.

On January 28, 1984, Marty married the love of her life, Erin L. Churchill, who survives. Together, they shared 42 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion to family.

Marty was a graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, she briefly attended nursing school, but later chose to pursue banking and finance. She went on to build a strong work ethic throughout her career. She worked at several places over the years before dedicating 23 years of service to Dominion Gas Company, retiring in 2013.

Marty lived life with a warm heart and adventurous spirit. She found joy in traveling, especially trips to the beach where she loved collecting seashells and enjoying the peaceful sound of the ocean. She cherished the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making memories with family at amusement parks. Some of her happiest moments were spent doing arts and crafts with her granddaughters, creating not only keepsakes, but lasting memories they will treasure forever.

Above all else, Marty’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and caring great-grandmother who made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. Marty had a selfless nature and a servant’s heart, always placing the needs of others before her own and offering kindness, encouragement, and support whenever she could. Her gentle spirit, generosity, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Marty is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Carrie Churchill of Tupelo, MS; four grandchildren, Gavin Culver, Layne Culver, Molly Churchill, and Milly Churchill; one great-grandson, Carter Culver; one brother, Bartholomew “Bart” Antle of Austin, TX; one sister, Ruth Pratt of Bastrop, TX; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Marty was preceded in death by two stepbrothers, David and Jerry.

All services for Marty are being handled privately at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. The Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd, Mill Hall, is honored to serve the Churchill family.
