Margaret L. Himes

Margaret L. (Miksich) Himes, 85, of Castanea passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 at Lock Haven Senior Living.

Born April 13, 1940 in DuBois she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Mary (Petty) Miksich.

Margaret was married to Lloyd E. Himes who died September 9, 2015. They celebrated 52 years of marriage together.

She was Catholic by faith. Margaret enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Ryan P. Himes of Castanea and two daughters; Sherri A. (Tommy) McKinney of Avis and Dana L. Himes of Dunnstown.

Two grandchildren, Matthew and Haley and a great granddaughter Jocelyn.

Also surviving are three sisters, Irene Miksich of DuBois, Maxine Perry of Virginia and Deborah Marshall of DuBois.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

Burial will be private following the viewing and visitation at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
