M. William Grace

M. William Grace, 84, of Tamarack died Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo.

Born in York on February 23, 1938 he was a son of the late David and Gladys (Smith) Grace.

He was married on Sept., 27, 1958 to the former Donna M. Harbold. They celebrated 64 years of marriage together.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction field. He owned and operated his electrical business in Dillsburg and also drove truck. He attended Cumberland Valley High School.

Mr. Grace was a member of the American Legion and the VFW in Dillsburg. He enjoyed hunting and fishing on Kettle Creek and feeding and caring for wildlife. Other memberships include the Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsmen’s Assn., Cross Fork Fire Company, Lodge 149 Son’s and Daughter’s of Italy in Renovo.

Surviving are his loving wife; one son David W. (Amy) Grace of Dillsburg and three daughters; Julie A. (James) Bailey of Millsboro, DE, Jodie L. (Karl) Bowman of Spring City, and Billi (Andy) Snyder of Highspire.

Eight grandchildren; Shannon, Gina, Brian, Anthony, Dylan, Kaulin, Brayden and Makayla and three great grandchildren; Jude, Duke and Danny.

He is survived by two brothers, Gene Grace of Dover and Robert Grace of Dillsburg and a sister Donna Brady of Dillsburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Isla George.

A celebration of life service will be held at the convenience of the family.
