Larry V. Getgen

LOCK HAVEN - Larry V. Getgen, 90, of Pine Creek Twp., died early Saturday morning April 20, 2024, at UPMC Susquehanna.

Born June 6, 1933 in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Elwood and Edna (Seyler) Getgen.

Larry was married to Bonnie C. (Snook) Getgen who died in 1991 and his second wife Jennie M. (Koch) Getgen died in 2011.

He worked in the final assembly division at Piper Aircraft for 30 years retiring in 1984.

Larry was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Jersey Shore V.F.W., American Legion, and the 40 & 8. He enjoyed woodworking and hunting.

He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War and served on the USS George K. MacKenzie.

Surviving are two sons, Wayne Getgen and Tim Getgen, two daughters; Laura Hensler and Debra Fischer, 11 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son; Jerry Getgen and a brother; Elwood Getgen, Jr.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are being handled by Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. PA.
