Kenneth L. Hanley, Sr.

Kenneth L. "Si" Hanley, Sr., 84, of Beech Creek and Orviston died Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Williamsport South Rehab. and Nursing where he was a patient for two weeks.

Born Sept., 5, 1938 in Monument he was a son of the late John D. and Pearl E. (Young) Hanley.

He was married to the former Rose Marie Rote on Sept., 20, 1958. They celebrated 64 years of marriage together.

Kenneth was a self-employed logger and earlier he worked for Glossner’s Concrete.

He served in the Army and the National Guard for over 30 years from 1955 - 1990.

He was a member of the Orviston Bible Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, yard sales and horseshoes.

Surviving are his loving wife; one son David L. Hanley of Orviston  a daughter Betty Lou Watkins of Beech Creek. 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. One brother Jerry Hanley of Beech Creek and a sister Ruth Worroll of Lewistown and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons Terry and Kenneth, Jr. and 2 brothers, Harold and Guy.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced.
