John Fred Reeder

John F. Reeder, 86, of McElhattan died Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born June 24, 1936 in Swissdale he was a son of the late Fred and Cathryn (Helbley) Reeder.

He served in the Army and earned several medals for his marksmanship.

John was married to Mildred M. (Swartwood) Reeder who died October 9, 2010 and his second wife Donetta J. (Conaway) Reeder who died February 20, 2019.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for High Steel in Williamsport for 22 ½ years and then at Wayne Township Landfill for over 4 years.

Surviving are two brothers Don and Roy both of Swissdale and two sisters, Mae (Joe) Johnson of McElhattan and Minnie Peters of Beech Creek.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven with the Rev. Dennis A. Smith officiating.

There will be no visitation.
