James H. Dershem

James H. Dershem, 76, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport where he was a patient since Sept. 3rd.

Born January 11, 1950 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late Ralph A. Dershem, Sr., and Harriet J. (Long) Dershem.

He worked for Hammermill Paper and enjoyed shooting pool. He was a former member of The East Main Street United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Jamie J. Dershem of Lock Haven and Anna L. Dershem of Lamar and 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. One brother Ralph “Buzz” Dershem of Antes Fort.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by a son James “Jay” Dershem, Jr. in 2019 a brother Charles W. Dershem in 2023 a sister Frances Dershem in 2020 and a niece Laurie Frantz in 2019.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
