Harold A. Drescher

LOCK HAVEN - Harold A. Drescher, 78,  passed away, Friday Jan. 25 2019, at Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room.

Born May 5, 1940, in Landisville, PA. He was the son of the late Paul and Miriam (Summy) Drescher. He was the youngest of 5 children.

Harold loved the outdoors and wildlife.  In his younger years his nickname was Grizzly Adams, because the dear and bear would befriend him. He had a light-hearted sense of humor and would joke with everyone he met. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Yankees and Packers. He enjoyed playing Wii bowling, horseshoes, poker, scrabble and Yahtzee (because he almost always won).

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy (Sayers) four daughters Laurie Sipe, York Haven PA, Cindy Barnes (Spencer), Gap PA; Patti Gray (David), Coatesville PA; Tammie James (David) Stroudsburg PA. Also, the proud and loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Sisters Ruth Grant, Lititz PA; Gladys Casakoff, Kew Gardens NY.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Susan Drescher, grandson Travis Sipe, brother Kenny Drescher and sister Eileen Burkey.

A memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
