George G. Harter

George G. Harter, 75, of Castanea passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at his residence.

He was born October 24, 1943 in Jacksonville, PA a son of the late Charles H. Harter, Sr. and Rebecca (Winslow) Harter.

He worked as a supervisor at the former Widmann’s and then retired from First Quality as a foreman.

Surviving are a brother Charles H. Harter, Jr. of Mill Hall and a sister Beverly Tibbens of Marquette, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Gettig.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Alan S. Eckenroad officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received from 12:30 – 1:00 at the funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
