Frances L. (Hulings) Burrows

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Frances L. (Hulings) Burrows, 97, formerly of Renovo, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Renovo on June 22, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Francis L. and Theresa P. (Watcherson) Hulings.

On July 19, 1951 Frances married the late Wayne F. Burrows and together they celebrated 51 years of marriage together until his death on August 24, 2002.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Renovo.  Frances enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, traveling to watch her grandchildren play softball and baseball.  She was an avid Steelers, Phillies and Penn State fan but most of all she loved spending time with her family whenever she could.

Frances is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Randell W. and Donna Burrows of Renovo and Douglas K. and Sandra Burrows of Renovo, two daughters and sons-in-law; Tamara A. and George Strunk of Georgia and Lezlie R. and Patrick Rooney of South Williamsport, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was preceded in death by two sisters; Janet Sexton and Mary Lou Snyder.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the 7th Street United Methodist Church, Renovo, with Martha Sykes officiating.  Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo, PA 17764.
