Ernest P. Delp, Jr.

RENOVO - Ernest P. Delp, Jr., 69, formerly of Dillsburg, died Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his home.

He was born on May 16, 1955 in Lewisburg and was the son of Ernest P. and Sara C. (Machamer) Delp, Sr., who survive, of New Columbia.

Ernest was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1973. After school he went on to work for and retire from H. Warshow and Sons, Milton as a supervisor in 2008.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton, the White Deer Township Fire Company and a lifetime member of Warrior Run Fire Department. Ernest was an EMT and had taken paramedic classes at Penn College, Williamsport.

Ernest enjoyed hunting, fishing, guns and ghost hunting however his greatest joys were going to the beach and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Ernest P. & Tiffany Delp, III of Renovo, two grandchildren; Ernest P. Delp, IV and Alexandria Delp both of Renovo and one brother and sister-in-law; Kenneth and Leslie Delp of York.

Ernest was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Harry and Bessie Delp and maternal grandparents; Earl Machamer and Dorothy and Stanley Wagner.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 1:00 – 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning Street, Milton, PA 17847 followed by a Celebration Of Life service at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Gary Schaeffer officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo, PA 17764.
