Donald M. Miller

Donald M. “Monk” Miller, 72, of Renovo, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving friends and family, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center. Born on November 16, 1953, in Renovo, he was the son of the late Donald and Virginia (Walden) Miller. A proud 1973 graduate of Bucktail High School, Monk went on to work for the Pennsylvania Railroad before spending many years in the oil field industry. Monk was an outdoorsman at heart. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he cherished the time he spent in the woods and along the water. He made many meaningful memories with those who joined him. He is survived by his daughter, Coty J. Miller, and his granddaughter, Caedynn Miller, who brought tremendous joy to his life. Also surviving are his nephew, Tim Miller of Lock Haven, and his sister-in-law, Karen Miller of Renovo.In addition to his parents, Monk was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Miller, and his niece, Tracey Miller. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, with Martha Sykes officiating. Family and friends will be received for a viewing from 10:00–11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Bend Cemetery, North Bend.
