David W. Goodling, Sr.

David W. Goodling, Sr., 74, of Coalport and a former resident of Renovo died Sat., Dec., 13, 2025 at his residence.

Born July 14, 1951 in Renovo he was a son of the late William C. Goodling and Thelma P. (Roush) Goodling.

He worked for Charles Smith Logging and later as a bulldozer operator for local coal stripping companies.

He was a 1971 graduate of Renovo High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR.

David was a member of the Hyner United Methodist Church and the Croatian Club Lodge in Smoke Run.

Surviving are two sons, David W. (Sandy) Goodling, Jr. and Scott P. Goodling both of Renovo.

Five grandchildren Desiree, Cory, Lyle, Emmaline and Leelynn.

Five brothers, Charles of Renovo, Clair and his wife Theresa of Farwell, Michael of S. Renovo, Steven of Renovo and Rich of Hyner and two sisters Linda Wenzel of Shermans Dale and Susan Goodling of Hyner.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced.

Interment will be at North Bend Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
