Constance H. (Hill) Richardson

Constance H. (Hill) Richardson RN, 90, of Cogan Station passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at the home of her son in Lock Haven.

Born April 18, 1931 in Seymour, Indiana she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Irma Hill.

She was married October 16, 1967 to Jude R. Richardson who preceded her in death May 7, 2021. They celebrated 53 years of marriage together.

Constance graduated from Seymour High School, Seymour, Indiana in 1949. She graduated from the Indianapolis General School of Nursing in 1953 and began her career at Indianapolis General and Mascatatuck State Hospital in Indiana continuing as an occupational health nurse for the Navy Dept. in Indianapolis where she met her acting director of nursing at the State Soldiers Home in Lafayette Indiana.

Following her husband Jude to Pennsylvania where she became the Director of Nursing at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport and In-Service Training Director for Lock Haven Hospital. She was an occupational nurse for California Cedar Products in Stockton, California. She then finished her career as the occupational nurse at Textron Lycoming. At one time Connie held licenses in California, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

Connie was featured in PJ O’Connell’s 1979 series “Profiles in Rural Religion”. Connie won many souls to Jesus and was certainly one of His angels on this earth.

She was a member of Kettle Creek Ambulance Company in Cross Fork. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Williamsport.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Kathryn and her brothers, Ralph, Scott, Douglas and Robert.

Surviving are a son’s Robert S. Richardson of Lock Haven and Thomas D. Richardson of Gilbert AZ a grandson Eric Richardson of Stockton, CA and two great grandchildren Matthew Milton and Savannah Richardson.

She is also survived by a sister Luann Barker of Edinburg, Indiana.

Contributions can be made in her memory to Calvary Church of the Nazarene.

There will be no services. Burial will be at New Maple Grove Cemetery, Leidy Twp.
