Charles D. “Clem” Shadle, 81, of Linden and a former resident of McElhattan passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Haven Place in Lock Haven.
Born August 8, 1942 in Lock Haven a son of the late Daniel M. and Elizabeth E. (Baysore) Shadle.
He worked as a sanitation worker for various local companies, Lock Haven Dye Works and Keystone Veneer as a boilerman retiring in 2005.
Charles enjoyed playing cards, watching western movies, buying lottery tickets, collecting and recycling soda cans and metal, mowing lawns for the elderly, spending time with his cousins and helping his brother Glenn on the farm milking cows.
He was a member of McElhattan United Methodist Church and a 1961 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
Surviving are a brother Glenn E. (Nancy) Shadle of Jersey Shore and a sister Marie E. (Butch) Bowmaster and a sister-in-law Audrey L. Shadle both of Lock Haven.
Also surviving are a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother Rollie M. Shadle.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to McElhattan Pathway to Christ Church or the Clinton County S.P.C.A.
The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Helt Funeral chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Laura Gilbert officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
Interment will be private at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
