Brenda L. (Gundlach) Matis

Brenda L. Matis, 56, of Marsh Creek, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

Born January 5, 1965 in Lock Haven she was a daughter of the late Barry L. and Virginia L. (Haugh) Gundlach.

Brenda was married on July 4, 1981 to Richard S. “Dickie” Matis, Jr. They celebrated 39 years of marriage together.

She worked at First Quality Tissue, Lock Haven as a warehouse supervisor.

Brenda was a 1981 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. She enjoyed winemaking, canning, raising chickens, her pet cockateel, and her flower gardens.

She was a former member of the American Legion, Beech Creek.

Surviving are her loving husband, two daughters, Erica (Thom) Culvey of Mill Hall and Jena (Bub) Wetzel of Orviston. Four grandchildren, Ethan, Cayden, Carrah and Cailey.

Also surviving are her best friends Barb, Scott, Lori, Rob and Caroline.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Cyrri Culvey in 2007.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be private at Hayes-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
