Betty A. Derr, (Heltman), (Wagner). August 17, 1932 – July 12, 2025. Betty went Home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 92. She was born in Loganton, Pa. to the late George Wagner and Ada Duck.
Betty worked as a housekeeper, cook, and custodian. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved Jesus, all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and dogs. She was a lot of fun to be around and was always laughing and joking around. She enjoyed flower gardening, home canning, writing and traveling.
She was preceded in death by Chester Marcellus Heltman, Earl Derr, Timothy Heltman (Son), Brothers Glen, Robert and Walter Wagner and Sisters June, Lois, Arnice and Gloria.
She is survived by a son David (Carolyn), a daughter Jolene (Mike), Brothers Gardner (Maxine), Elwood (Collete), Merle (Marilyn), Gene (Bonnie), and Daryl (Lucy), and a Sister Sharon Winans, grandchildren Eric (Kelly), Bradley (Becky) and Ryan (Tabitha), Michelle (Terry) and great grandchildren Emily, Ethan, Macy, Landon, Jonathan, Neoma, and Jeremy.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Valley View Retirement Community - Memory Lane, who took great care of her over the last few years.
Viewing will be Friday morning July 18th from 10:00-11:00am with funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Brad Heltman and Pastor Mike Hulson officiating.
Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
